About Dr. Erika Grace, PT, DPT, MPH, MSW
Dr. Grace is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, from where she received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She then completed sub-specialty training at Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She also holds a Bachelor degree from Emory University and a dual Master of Social Work and Master of Science of Public Health (Maternal and Child Health) from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Dr. Grace is extensively involved with the American Physical Therapy Association, the APTA Section on Women’s Health, and the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association. Passionate about women’s health and wellness, she is involved in reproductive health and human rights initiatives locally and globally
Dr. Grace is committed to evidence-based practice and specializes in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, Prenatal/Postpartum care, and Women’s Health-related issues. Conditions she treats include:
- Bladder dysfunction: urinary incontinence, urinary urgency/frequency, Interstitial Cystitis
- Bowel dysfunction: fecal incontinence, constipation, rectal pain
- Female athletes
- Pelvic pain: vulvadynia, vestibuldynia, pudenal neuralgia, vaginismus, dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
- Pregnancy and postpartum pain or dysfunction
- Orthopedics: low back, pelvis and/or hip pain; tailbone/coccyx pain
- Pelvic floor dysfunction: pelvic floor muscle weakness or tightness, pelvic organ prolapse
Rehabilitative services are individualized based on patient symptoms, needs, and preferences.
Treatment sessions occur in private rooms and may include manual hands-on techniques, education on posture and lifestyle changes, exercise instruction, biofeedback, and other therapeutic modalities to relieve pain and improve muscular and biomechanical function.

Our office accepts a number of insurance plans, including BCBS, Medicare, Cigna, and United. If you have a different carrier, our office is happy to file your claim for you.
